Kannada History Taker

Clinical history questions in spoken Kannada, for medical students.

Pick a subject, pick a case, work down the questions. Each one appears in colloquial Kannada written in English letters, with its English meaning and the replies patients commonly give — so you can follow what you hear at the bedside.

Important

This is an educational aid for students of medicine. It is not a translation service, not a medical device, and not a substitute for learning the Kannada language. It must not be used for actual patient history taking, for obtaining consent, or for any clinical record. Anyone living in Karnataka should learn Kannada properly; this only helps you start.

The Kannada reflects colloquial usage around Bengaluru and Mysuru, and varies across Karnataka. The clinical structure follows standard case proformas and textbooks of clinical medicine, which remain the property of their authors. Mistakes are possible — please report them.
