Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Kannada History Taker application and this website handle information. It applies to the Android application published on Google Play and to the web application at kannadahistorytaker.in.

1. The short version

The application collects no personal data, transmits nothing, and requires no account. It works entirely on your device and functions with no internet connection.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, request, store on any server, or transmit to any third party: your name, email address, telephone number, date of birth, photographs, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or any health information about you or any other person.

The Android application requests no permissions and declares no internet permission. It is technically incapable of sending information anywhere.

3. Information stored on your own device

The application stores two things locally, on your device only. Neither leaves your device and neither is readable by us:

• a record that you accepted the Terms and Conditions, so the terms screen is not shown on every launch;
• your progress markers — which questions you have ticked as asked, and which sections you have collapsed.

Uninstalling the application, or clearing the site data in your browser, erases all of it.

4. Patient information

The application provides no facility to enter, record or store information about any patient, and you must not use it to do so. No patient-identifiable information should ever be entered into this application or into any note taken from it. Your obligations of patient confidentiality under law, under your institution's rules and under professional regulation apply in full and are not altered by this application.

5. Analytics, advertising and tracking

There is no analytics software, no advertising, no tracking, no cookies set by the application, and no third-party software development kits of any kind.

6. This website

These pages are static files. They set no cookies and run no analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and times of access, for security and operational purposes; we do not use those logs to identify visitors and we do not combine them with any other information.

7. Email you send us

If you write to feedback@kannadahistorytaker.in, we receive your message and your email address, and keep them only for as long as needed to act on what you reported. We will not add you to any mailing list or pass your address to anyone else.

8. Children

The application is intended for students of medicine and allied health professionals, and is not directed at children.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date.
